Cabin Boys

Description of Activities

Cabin Boys is the first step into the Boys’ Brigade. We provide a small group environment with all of the activities. The well-designed programme specifically targets the needs of this age group and succeeds in total engagement of the child. The programme therefore includes special theme nights, play-time, stories, music and crafts. Boys of all abilities, gifts and talents are welcome and special needs are catered for. We want to show these young boys the love of Christ during a fun-packed and fully interactive evening.

Target Group: Boys 3-5 years
When: Each Tuesday 6:45-7:45pm
Special Events: Parties, fancy dress, Easter outing, Parents’ evening

Anchor Boys

Description of Activities

This group of boys meet weekly to enjoy an evening of fun, craft, bible teaching and games that promote the ideals and philosophy of the Boys’ Brigade.

Target Group: Boys 4-8 years
When: Each Tuesday 6:45-8:00pm
Special Events: Parents’ Evening, Parades and enrolment

Junior Section

Description of Activities

The purpose of the boys’ brigade is to advance Christ’s kingdom among boys. This is achieved through a rich and wide ranging set of experiences that develop the boys’ awareness of themselves, their place in the community and their links with the church. It is a truly enjoyable experience that is planned and delivered by a trained and experienced leadership team. The junior section is one of the biggest organisations in the church.

Target Group: Boys 8-11 years
When: Each Tuesday 6:30-8:15pm & Each Saturday 7:00-8:30pm
Special Events: Prize Giving, competitions, trips and residential

Company Section

Description of Activities

The Boys’ Brigade is a Christian uniformed organisation for boys that offers a programme of fun activities designed to educate, challenge and inspire young people in an environment of Christian teaching.

“The advancement of Christ’s kingdom and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence, discipline and self-respect and all that tends to true Christian manliness.”

The Boys’ Brigade resists the temptation to live in the past because its function is to serve today’s young people. In our company this is achieved through a range of well planned activities which include bible study, drill/marching, badge work and games. The boys also have free time to play sports of their own choosing.

Target Group: Boys 11-18 years
When: Every Wednesday 7:15-9:45pm
Special Events: Prize Giving, trips to Dundonald, Cinema, Swimming pool and BB Adventure week-end
